Lampu kuning buat Walcott...

dia abis cedera panjang sih bro..

musti proses adaptasi..

tp emang sih lwan tim2 tertentu kya mati kutu gitu walcott

Bandingin sama Arshavin, Rosicky, Nasri, even Vela. Mereka mainnya kadang ngelebar, kadang masuk ke dalem, kadang turun ngejemput bola, kadang tuker tempat sama Fabregas. Klo Walcott nggak. Masi monoton.

Arsenal Special: Theo Walcott A Victim Of Arsenal's Changed Style & Tactics
Winger's decline not just due to bad luck with injuries, but he can still rediscover his form...
By Tim Collings
Jan 25, 2010 4:05:00 PM

Oh dear, Theo. What’s happening to you?

On August 6 last year, Theo Walcott sat down with a group of British Sunday newspaper reporters to answer questions about the season ahead as part of Arsenal’s special promotion of the club’s support for the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

Barbara Windsor, the veteran comedy actress was there, too. There was much laughter and levity between the serious messages. Even Arsene Wenger raised his eyebrows and smiled at the jokes.

Walcott was English football’s poster boy of the month, a pin-up footballer with the world at his feet. He was seen as the Gunners’ rising star and next big thing.

Or so it seemed.

This week, after another poor outing in Sunday’s FA Cup defeat at Stoke City, he may wonder what he has done so wrong since that sunny afternoon in central London.

Walcott, that day, was asked about his personal ambitions for the 2009-10 season; and he had just recently agreed a lucrative four-year contract that reportedly made him a millionaire.
“To do well and, if possible, to play in and win the World Cup in South Africa,” he responded, making clear he regarded glory with England as his overriding goal because World Cup finals tournaments come around only once every four years.

His Arsenal career, his club successes and, indeed, his place in the Arsenal team, he seemed to be politely taking for granted. Worries about his injury record – started by the dislocation of his right shoulder in November, 2008, while on England duty – seemed to be forgotten.

Everyone in England, in the media and in football, seemed to take it for granted that Walcott’s recovery was complete and that he would easily recover the form that saw him strike a remarkable hat-tick in Zagreb, against Croatia, in England’s 4-1 win in September, 2008.

Unfortunately, it did not work out that way. Firstly, Wenger warned him to put his club football before all else. Secondy, fresh injuries began to punctuate his career. His other shoulder had already worried him. Now it was to be his back, followed by a knee and then a hamstring as the autumn unfolded. Far from singing on the way to Cape Town, Walcott was struggling to raise a tune.

His involvement in the England Under-21 side’s European Championship campaign was cited as one cause of his troubles. Others said he was injury-prone. Walcott said he was unlucky. And, as the days went by, he slipped out of the regular first team picture with Arsenal and became almost a bit-part player, someone who missed most games and was only used in cameo roles when he was fit enough to sit on the bench.
A season of prospective success and South African glory turned into a dark tunnel of frustration.

But it was not just about injuries. It was also about his lack of progress as a player and, with that, his inability to compete for a place in a 4-3-3 system, as opposed to the more winger-friendly 4-4-2 of previous seasons.
"The funny thing is that the injuries were no fault of my own," said Walcott. “It has been very bad luck this season. I am not an injury-prone player. Lately people may have thought I have been injury-prone, but I just need games - and the more I play, the better I'll get..."

In the fluid Arsenal system that has been adopted this season, Walcott has looked ‘wooden’ and unhappy, often running down blind alleys or struggling to retain possession in tight situations.
His game does not lend itself to a midfield spot in a 4-3-3 team; nor does it currently warrant him any kind of supremacy over the likes of Andrey Arshavin, Samir Nasri or Tomas Rosicky as a flank forward.
Walcott has become an impact substitute, for the moment. His confidence is low, his searing pace a weapon best deployed against tiring opponents in the latter stages of difficult games. No longer one of the automatic first-choice forwards, he is now only selected by Wenger as an extra for rotation.

And as to the England dream, Walcott looks unlikely to make the squad. He was selected, to learn from the experience, in Germany 2006, but is now behind Aaron Lennon and, probably, the vastly-experienced David Beckham, in Fabio Capello’s thoughts.
And in this sad story, there are shades of other England stars whose careers were built on early pace, spectacular impact and popular stardom and thereafter never properly fulfilled – notably John Barnes and Michael Owen.
Yes, Barnes won 79 caps, but he was always saddled by memories of that slalom strike at the Maracana while Owen, similarly remembered for his moment in St Etienne against Argentina as a teenager, also promised more than he achieved.
On Sunday, Walcott looked like a player who needed to start over again, rediscover his mojo and forget all the psycho-babble and hype that circulates any struggling star.
But he is lucky – he has Sol Campbell, for sound advice, in the dressing room, and Aaron Ramsey, so impressive this season, as a contemporary who has set the right example. So, forget the bull, Theo, and just remember what you do best… And if all goes well, Arsenal and England will be the teams to gain.

Gw pribadi ngerasa, Walcott memang salah satu wonderkid.

Gw pribadi gak yakin Walcott bakal masuk skuad Inggris buat WC 2010 nanti. Tapi gw yakin, Walcott bakal jadi pemain hebat.

^ setuju
tapi emang sayang perkembangan walcott diterhambat cedera yang menurut gw keseringan dan terlalu lama.

tp menurut gw, skr sebaiknya walcott optimalin dulu speednya bwt serangan balik.
silahkan bertanya sepuasnya sama saya disini
